This will be one of two dramatic looks I do with the new Urban Decay Naked Palette. I'm planning on creating five looks total over the next bucket of days to give you ideas on the many ways you can wear this gorgeous palette. These colors are incredibly blendable, smooth and buttery. I adore this palette so much that I plan on picking up a second one because I can already tell I'm going to put this to a ton of use for everyday looks.

This past Saturday, my parents and I took a trip on my dad's boat and I had a blast despite it being hotter than Hell on payday. This is the look I wore, not realizing it was gonna be as hot as it was, but it stayed on pretty well all things considered. I paired up two of my favorite MAC eyeshadows -- "Cool Heat" and "Signed, Sealed" to come up with this super quick smokey blue.

I haven't been around nor have I felt like posting anything the past week. As some of you may know, my grandfather passed away and I totally lost interest for a short while...but then I remembered that he wouldn't want me all sad n crap, crying and snottin' up the joint. So I put on my biggest smile and did this super bright and fun look for you. I saw this photo here, got inspired and wanted to do a more wearable version. This look actually made me happy and feeling like my old self, so here we go..

I finally got my hands on this gorgeous Memento Mori eyeshadow palette by Kat Von D. As I mentioned in my other Kat Von D post, I had been bs'ing on buying this one for some dumb lazy reason. I said "I don't wanna miss out on this, so lemme just go ahead and buy it". It's a great palette and the price is even more attractive. Costing about the same as just two MAC eyeshadows, you're getting seven gorgeous highly-pigmented shadows plus a cream shadow for just $34. I shouldn't have to emphasize how incredible that deal is.

I can't even begin to stress how hot it is outside. Oh wait, yes I can! It's hotter than the devils nutsack -- that's how hot it is. Not just hot, but it's steamy. The east coast humidity blows a big one. It ruins the entire summer. You literally walk outside, stand there doing nothing, and you're dripping with sweat. It's awful. I honestly didn't feel like leaving the house -- let alone doing my makeup, but then I got a lil inspiration when I flipped thru the Discovery Channel and saw some pretty oceanic blues and greens. Two of my favorite colors to play around with. I couldn't decide if I wanted to do something bright, or something smokey -- so I combined the two. This is nothing special, but it's a fun look to do when you're bored. It actually got me a few compliments when I went to CVS today LOL!!

I would go into how I've been without the internet for an entire week, but my e-Shrink told me not to think about it or it'll cause further distress lol. Anyway, here's a FOTD I've been meaning to post since last week. I picked up a few things from the MAC To the Beach collection and immediately fell in love with Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow. I have a serious thing for greens, and this one is just absolutely gorgeous. It's a veluxe pearl formula with tiny bits of apple green gold and it's super easy to blend and work with. If you didn't grab this one, you could use Eyepopping by MAC. It's a satin, so it's not as dimensional as Sweet & Punchy, but the color is very similar.
