Let's talk about eyeshadow primers and bases, their differences, and their similarities. This is a topic I've been meaning to talk about for a while now, so let's just get into it shall we?

So you wanna look a hot mess? Of course you don't. Nobody really intends to look a hot mess, but sometimes it just happens. Some of us don't have good friends to pull us to the side and say "Hey girl, that blush is pretty but I think you should use a little less", or "Girl your eyebrows are so close together they're about to start dating!". I put on some really brave shoes to include multiple makeup infractions on my face all at once so you guys can see what looking a hot mess entails. Are you ready? Brace yourselves...cuz this aint pretty!

I launched Accidental Beauty back in April of 2010 and so far it's been really fun meeting other makeup fiends, beauty enthusiasts and newbies who are just starting out and looking for tips and tricks. I seriously appreciate all of the love and support I've gotten so far, you guys mean the world to me. I hope to continue this blog for a very long time because it's my baby. I may not get to update every single day like I'd want to (work, life, etc.) but I try to put my all into each post because you guys deserve honesty. There is one problem I have though...I have sooo many things to talk about I sometimes don't even know where to begin!! So much makeup to go over, review, swatch, etc. So many tips and tricks to share. It's overwhelming, but in a good way.

A huge request from my lovely readers is to get a list of places you can buy authentic discontinued MAC products on Ebay. Many people are limited to Ebay as a means of buying their favorite items, and I totally understand that. MAC has a naughty habit of offering up a fabulous item -- only to have it taken away in the blink of an eye. From a business standpoint, I get it -- it keeps the company thriving and on their toes, but it SURE is frustrating when you can't find your favorite blush anymore. Don't fret! There are still ways to find what you're looking for. Despite being surrounded by fakes and dishonest people on Ebay, there are some sellers out there who will not screw you over and will send you the real thing...

It's 6:54pm on a Saturday night and I'm up writing about setting powders. Why? Because I'm lookin out for those of you who have no clue as to what they even are. See? I got you, boo -- I'm lookin out for you! Also because...I don't have anything else to do and I actually have the time. I have been forced to neglect my own brand new beauty blog because of work (which I'm sure will happen again soon). I figured since I have a few extra hours I can bang out a few important posts for you all :)

Ahh...the wonderful, yet confusing world of bronzers. There are so many of them on the market, in so many forms. You've probably seen powders, gels, creams, liquids...it's enough to overwhelm anyone. Sometimes finding a good bronzer is as hard as finding a decent man. Bronzers are often overlooked by many people because they just don't have any knowledge about them, and don't consider them when applying their makeup. What is a bronzer? Why should I wear one? I'm already brown, so why do I need one? Where do I apply it and what do I apply it with? What's a good one? These are the popular questions I hear when I mention the word "bronzer". Let me answer some of those questions for you..
