Just a heads up -- the elusive, gorgeous and hard-to-find Naked Palette by Urban Decay is now available at ULTA Beauty! I ordered mine, so if you keep missing out at Sephora or Urban Decay's own website, scurry on over to ULTA and pick one of these babies up :) I did call my nearest Ulta to see if they had these in stock at the store, but they didn't. So before you assume they're at the actual Ulta store, call first to check.

I see you. You're outside standing under a 900-thread count blanket of heat and humidity. You're not happy. Your makeup is sliding off your face. You're sweating like a hooker in church. You're greasier than Jermaine Jackson in 1997. It's hotter than the rubber on the bottom of Precious's shoes after she stole that bucket of chicken and ran off to class like a bat out of hell. Miserable, huh? I hate this time of year! The east coast humidity is just...so ridiculous and unfair. You can stand outside and literally do nothing but stand...and start pouring buckets of sweat. That ain't right! I get so greasy and oily this time of year, so I needed something to soak up that oil like a Popeye's biscuit...and I found it!!!

Urban Decay is the poo, but they already know that ;) I recently purchased all of their loose pigment eye shimmers ($20 each) from Hautelook (on sale for $5 each) and it's my cosmetic obligation to share with you how beautiful they are. I'm gonna try very hard not to ramble about these, but I need you to understand how awesome these pigments are. The packaging allows you to get just the right amount of product out of the tube, and they're nowhere near as messy as *whispers*...psst...MAC pigments (OMG!! Don't worry MAC, I still "Stan" for your delicious pigments, I promise!). Some of you may not like the packaging, I actually do. I love the packaging of the MAC pigments as well, but there's always that fear of knocking the whole thing over and ultimately spilling a super rare shade you can't find anywhere else...

In case you didn't know, Urban Decay (in light of the recession) is having their Friends & Family sale and you get to save a cool 30% off your entire order. Use code "1SFNF" from April 6th thru April 19th. I picked up a few things, of course. But let me just say, I absolutely LOVE Urban Decay, overall. I think they're a very strong brand. Their eyeshadow's are known for their pigmentation and vibrancy, and they've got great packaging. They have some of the most unique packaging I've seen as far as makeup goes, and as a designer totally appreciate it. This sale came out of nowhere for me, so I didn't get as much as I would've had I known it was coming. I could've been irresponsible and spent money on this sale instead of paying my rent...but looking like a fabulous hobo isn't exactly a goal of mine.

Hey guys! For this look I pulled out my trusty 'Get Baked' palette from Urban Decay. This was released last summer and I absolutely LOVE it. It's one of my favorites for a quick, everyday look. I love this one because I feel it really just enhances what I already have. It looks fabulous on brown skin ladies and if you can find it, I suggest you buy it. Not to worry if you can't find it. Urban Decay sells most of these shadows in singles, so you shouldn't have too many problems getting your sexy hands on it. But if you already have this palette, pull it out!
