Here's a little secret...this was my very first red lipstick that I paid over $10 for. It holds a special place in my heart -- and apparently my mom's makeup bag because for months she wouldn't give it back to me. Terrible, but I can't blame her because she looked amazing with it on. Kat Von D has a really great line of makeup and the prices aren't too shabby either, especially when you take the quality into account.

Hautelook recently had a nice NYX sale, so I was held at lipgloss-point to purchase a few items. I had to! I picked up two of their newest palettes in Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit and Purple Smokey Look Kit ($11 each). These little bundles of joy come with 9 eyeshadows, 2 lip colors and a tiny lip brush and sponge-tip applicator. Recently I picked up their Tinted Primer and Tinted Illuminizer duo, both are priced at $46 (each), but the duo was priced at $46 for both. Add the 50% off coupon and that's both items for just $23 :D Heck yes...

I have sooo many NYX eyeshadows it's not even funny. Because I'm dedicated to helping you guys out, I'm going to slowly swatch them in batches so those of you who are looking for great inexpensive ways to beat your face, can know what to expect. NYX is one of my favorite low-end brands, and they seem to get more things right than wrong. A while ago I bought several of their Ultimate Pearl Shadows ($7) when they went on sale (I don't remember how much I paid), and for the most part they're pretty damn decent.
