Did you take advantage of Sephora's recent Friends & Family sale? I wasn't going to...but then I naturally broke down and went for it. I honestly didn't know what I was gonna buy, so I said to myself "Sephora never offers free shipping or any decent discount, so I'm gonna buy a few items I'd normally hold off on". The next few posts will highlight those purchases. I'm doing my part to stimulate the economy -- at least that's what I keep telling myself :D So here are two lovely YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks in Red Taboo (#18) and Exquisite Plum (#22). Both retail for $34 each, making them my most expensive lipstick purchases to date...

Dang, Resha...do you need any more lip gloss? Seriously? Ummmm...yea..I do! So Rock & Republic had their lovely 50% off sale again, and despite not having the super coveted Call Me blush available (F#@K!), I took advantage of the savings anyway. I've been drooling over Strawberry Fields ($24) for quite some time now, and my lipgloss dreams have finally come true. This is one of the most gorgeous colors I've ever seen by NARS and if you're into this kinda color, I suggest you buy!

Here's a little secret...this was my very first red lipstick that I paid over $10 for. It holds a special place in my heart -- and apparently my mom's makeup bag because for months she wouldn't give it back to me. Terrible, but I can't blame her because she looked amazing with it on. Kat Von D has a really great line of makeup and the prices aren't too shabby either, especially when you take the quality into account.

Here's a lip color that would look amazing on pretty much everyone. It's NYX Black Cherry round lipstick, and it costs around $4. It's a beautiful deep berry shade with hints of blue, but it's not too cool. Warm skin tones can definitely wear this. This lip would look extra seductive on med-to-dark skin tones, and vampy on lighter skin tones (which isn't a bad thing at all).

Smokey eyes are probably the most popular way to pimp your eyelids. There are so many ways to smoke out your eye -- and not look like a panda in the process. Insert the NYX Winter in Moscow Smokey Look palette ($19.50); a handbook sized folding palette with a mirror, 2 blushes and 5 lip colors on one side, and 14 eyeshadows and applicators on the other side. I received this item to review from my good friend in lipstick, Linda. She asked that I review it so here we go :)
