How can one be added to your list of authentic sellers? Is there a screening process? I'm not running a business but I have a bunch of stuff I'm trying to list and its frustrating competing with fakers.

I have worked for MAC for 5 years and I know as a company they do their best to deal with this kind of stuff. But there is probably more of this fake stuff than they can keep up with. Your best bet is to only buy MAC makeup from MAC. At least then you know you are getting genuine product, and if you go to the store you can get help with how to use the product as well!

I think I have a neutral skintone....it's not pink or peach or yellow...in fact I have a tiny tiny hard to notice flush of pink to my cheeks...and I have fair skin...and tons of freckles and red/auburn hair...yes you guessed It..pale as a ghost practically...I think Porcelain or Soft Ivory in drugstore foundation shades... So which paint pot would be best for me ? Soft Ochre looks sooo nice..but you said painterly is perfect for making colors on the lid pop....also I think Rubenesque look awesome..I saw one on the site..and I know it's LE but I hop I can possibly get my hands on it at least a sample...it's called Nubile...I think it's new..,anywhose...if you have You tube hit me up my username is : bluetigressemoon.
I can give you a link so you can better see my skin tone... www.myspace.com/tigerlily_luvs_all_peeps

If not I wll show you how to find me on FB for a better look....anway..awesome review! **Hugs** L8R =D

Great article! my husband surprised me last month and gave me different kinds of MAC products (mascara, foundation, lipgloss, etc.) he said an officemate sold it to him for a cheaper price and since he knows that i only use mac, he bought it and was so excited to give it to me. i was so touched by the thought of it but when i saw it, i already felt that those items were fake even though i still don't know that there are fake mac products that time. The items look cheap and glossy. also the packaging is kinda different so i decided to just give it to my sister hahaha since she didn't mind if its fake.

Thanks so much. Spotting fake mac products will be much more easier! :D

I would never buy make up from Ebay,
at least not MAC.
I don´t dare to, and I don´t think
it´s worth the risk.

I rather pay a little more
at a counter to be sure it´s real.

Thanks for an interesting
and helpful article!
