This past Saturday, my parents and I took a trip on my dad’s boat and I had a blast despite it being hotter than Hell on payday. This is the look I wore, not realizing it was gonna be as hot as it was, but it stayed on pretty well all things considered. I paired up two of my favorite MAC eyeshadows — “Cool Heat” and “Signed, Sealed” to come up with this super quick smokey blue.

By the time we got the boat going in the sweltering heat, this look kinda melted but held on for good measure. It just turned into a “glowing” version of itself lol.

awww, I look like a boy!! HAHA! check out my super sweaty face lol

They call this a “Potomac Alligator” — logs this size and larger can really mess up a boat’s engine.

EYES
- MAC Bare Study paint pot to prime lid (I applied this only in the areas I planned on placing the eyeshadow)
- MAC Cool Heat eyeshadow on entire lid, up to the crease
- MAC Signed, Sealed eyeshadow on outer corners of lid (can use Shadowy Lady as a substitute)
- MAC Texture eyeshadow in crease to blend the colors out and soften the look
- Stila Smudgepot in black outer 1/3 of lid on upper lashline
- MAC Smolder eye khol on waterline
- Lancome Hypnose mascara
FACE
- Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet foundation in #70 – caramel
- Facefront Fully Baked bronzer to contour
- MAC Band of Roses mineralize blush duo on cheeks
LIPS
- MAC Beaux lipglass
I really feel this look would be great on anyone, but if you’re more fair, try MAC Arena in the crease instead of Texture. I really love Texture eyeshadow for a natural transition color, it looks wonderful on medium to darker skin-tones. Hope you like
-Stay beautiful
**EDIT** I came home right away today because I felt something wasn’t right with this post. I was saying in my head, I don’t remember Electric Eel being that teal (but I was at work and unable to verify). I opened my MAC palette and realized four of my blue shadows somehow got tossed around and placed under the wrong label SMH!!! So this is a correction and a huge apology for the confusion if there was any lol. Don’t worry, I feel dumb. The shadow used was Cool Heat — NOT Electric Eel. Sorry folks! I’ll pay attention next time haha!

that’s gorgeous resha! i don’t have electric eel though, i wonder if steamy would work…
*I screwed up on the shadow name, its not electric eel (FAIL), its cool heat. i had my shadows mixed around in my palette and didn’t realize it til after i posted this like an idiot.
so actually, you could smoke this out with steamy, its definitely a different color, but it would be beautiful too
cute look. i like the lip you paired with it as well.
thanks!
I love this look, I’m going to be brave and try it this week.
Cool! just make sure you use Cool Heat or a color close to it, i was an idiot and didn’t realize i named the shadows wrong in this post (fail) lol
Hey… Nice look!!!. I have electric eel but never use it!! I’ll have to pull it out and give it a “retry”
@ Toyalise- Be careful…. Although it may still look good Steamy and electric eel are sooooo different… Electric eel is like a matte blue if my memory is correct and steamy has a sheen/iridescent to it.. more on the greenish than blue….
You probably won’t get the “Resha affect”!!
To me electric eel was too hard to work with. Maybe because my make up game was not on point.

I only use electric eel as a liner. might have to try this one out!

but now you’ve got me wanting to try electric eel (the real one lol) as a liner! thx hun

Love the colors, very intense but sophisticated…
