I had a little Meow-Mix this morning, felt a lil “rawr” and decided to cave in and do a smokey cat-eye look for you guys. This look is extremely simple, consisting of just two colors, and can be substituted with anything you have! I picked up Lithe pigment (now sold out) from the Fabulous Felines collection by MAC last week and wanted to use it, so here we go…

Same look but with red lips!

EYES
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Blackbean
- NYX Black eyeshadow
- MAC Lithe pigment
- Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero
- Lancome Hypnose mascara
FACE
- MAC Dark MSF all over face
- Benefit Boi-ing concealer under eyes
- Facefront Fully Baked Bronzer to contour
- Rock & Republic Immoral blush
LIPS
*moisturize with your favorite balm, I used Rosebud Salve
- NYX Nutmeg lip liner
- Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush lipgloss in Bananas!
and for the red lips…
- NYX Deep Red lipliner
- Chanel Paris lipstick
Scotch tape is sticky, so place it on the back of your hand to remove some of the stickiness before you put it in the corner of your eye. You don’t want to put it right on your eye because it will pull your skin too much when you go to remove it. Prime both lids with UDPP, then used a tiny bit of Blackbean on the lower lid just to give it a darker base. Blend that out with your finger and take a flat eyeshadow brush and apply the black eyeshadow (any brand will do). Place the eyeshadow just on the shape of your lid, stop where you feel your crease. Blend the black out a bit with a blending brush, I used the MAC 217. Take a clean blending brush and apply a tiny bit of the Lithe pigment into the crease and softly blend out to diffuse the black a bit. Don’t bring the crease color onto the lid (although tiny bits of it will naturally fall down). If you do get too much of the crease color on the lid, just go back with the black and reapply. Line your upper and lower water-line with a black pencil of your choice. Take a bit of the black eyeshadow on a pencil brush, I used the MAC 219 and smoke out your lower lash-line. Apply your mascara, remove your tape and you’re done with the eyes.
Easy look, kinda hooker’ish but I’m okay with that. I might submit one of those pics to Temptalia’s Feline Challenge, but I haven’t made up my mind yet. Anyway, I gotta get ready for work tomorrow so I’ll see you guys around! Hope everyone had a safe and chill Labor Day weekend (I know I did lol). If you need dupe suggestions, ask below
*EDIT: this look was featured on Temptalia
Thanks, Christine!

Very pretty! Did you pick up anything else from the FF line? I got the Burmese Beauty, and while I like it, I swear there are dupes in the Naked palette. I could be crazy though lol
Nah, the FF collection was pretty blah to me. I had all the pigments already, the quads were nice for folks who dont have those colors already. im gonna go BALLS CRAZY for VV though.
sexy!!!! I love the look, will have to intensify my cat-eye look much more.

I feel like I just can’t do a smoky eye. This looks great, love the cat-eye. I think I’ll give it one more shot…
Carmella you can, I promise. When i first first first started doing them, they were a mess because i kept trying to get mine to look like other peoples smokey eye — which was my mistake. as long as you stick within your own eye shape parameters you’ll be fine. i promise
You worked that mama! What u mean they sold out…damn damn damn…I didn’t want it at first, but now that I see this, I WANT it! Can a sista get a sample! LMAO
LOL thanks love. yea i checked before i put the post up, that shit is gone!! a shame too, it’s a gorgeous pigment. send me an email w/ your addy and i’ll send u a sample.

Instead of using scotch tape u can use the kind of tape used in hospitals for bandages its not as sticky and works as great..
i love the effect of using the tape. can’t believe I never thought of that before!
Woohoo! Thanks, this old Ozark farm chick needs all the help she can get. Especially from the neck up! Heeeeehehehe! I’d have to tone this down a little ( a lot) ’round these parts!
Ya’ll have a wonderful weekend heaped full of many blessings!!!
I miss your mustache, lol.
