I’ve been doing a lot of bright eyeballs lately lol. I decided to tone it down a bit for today and just aim the focus on my “lee-yups” (lips), while smoking my eyes out just a bit. This is a look that’s simple enough for a day-time look, but has enough punch to be fierce in the evening as well. Enjoy!

EYES
- MAC Rubenesque paint pot as a base over entire lid
- MAC Straw Harvest eyeshadow on the lid
- Facefront Sweet Soil eyeshadow midway thru the crease
- NYX Black eyeshadow to smoke out the outer corner of the eye and deepen the Sweet Soil
- MAC Blacktrack fluidline on upper lashline (not winged out)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Zero pencil in upper and lower waterline, only going 2/3 inward on the lower lashline
- MAC Zoom Lash mascara on tops and bottoms of lashes
FACE
- Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Caramel 400
- Facefront Fully Baked Bronzer to contour
- Rock & Republic blush in Immoral on cheeks
LIPS
*moisturize with your favorite balm, I used Rosebud Salve
- MAC Go For It cremesheen lipstick
- MAC Ban This! lipglass
Isn’t Ban This! pretty over Go For It? I love that combo. You can use any colors you want for this look, you don’t have to use the exact same stuff I used. Any base color close enough to your skin-tone but just a shade or two lighter will work for the lid, and anything dark will go great in your crease and outer-v. This was a great look for my insane Saturday, and applying it on top of the paint pot only helped it last longer. If you’re into bold lip colors, I highly recommend Go For It with Ban This! over it. It’s a gorgeous combination that I feel anyone with guts can get away with. Remember, just because you want to wear a neutral eye look doesn’t mean it has to look boring

This is great! Now I finally might have a way to get Straw Harvest to work for me cause I’ve been seriously regrettng that shadow.
I love straw harvest, it’s such a great nude’ish color for me, but i can see how it may not work for everyone. if you dont like the results of that one, you can always try another one. any flesh-toned shade will work
Cute look! Very simples but sophisticated as well. The lips punch! I’m thinking about trying Revlon’s foundation. It do seem like u have any on, which is always a good sign for day to day looks.
Thanks Kimmie
You should definitely try Revlon’s foundation. I personally feel its the best drugstore foundation out there as of now. the great thing is that if you hate it, you can always return it.
Pretty! I’ma try this. I LOVE Rubenesque. It’s my favorite. So anything that incorporates it, I’m down to try.
Rubenesque is SO gorgeous, sometimes I wear it alone. that and indianwood, a lil liner, loads of mascara, out the door!
Oh yeah! I’m trying this! You look great!
thanks babe! <3
This is how I looked all week except since I’m darker than you (duh!) I used
Eyes: Perky or Constructivist PP
Tissueweight, Goldmine, Ricepaper, Sable, Twinks, Carbon (depending on how i felt that day)
Blush: Band of Roses or Vintage Grape for blush
Lips: Go for it. Every single time. That lipstick is amazing. <3
This really is an awesome every day look.
u got me over here adding twinks to my wishlist because i dont have that one yet. but girl, go for it is lovely! worth a backup!
Simple, but pretty. I really like this. I’m going to give it a try with some similar colors.
you should show me how it comes out!
I can’t wait for my Go For It to arrive! *screams*
Love this look Resha! I gotta get back to my FOTD’s I been lacking lately…on posting period….LOL
Very pretty! I plan to attempt the eye if 5 am doesnt come to quick and I get up in time! Hum, I think I’ll have to use MAC Saddle and something else as I dont have the colors you used-which is a problem!
I love the MAC paintpots! I only have Ground Works right now due to budget cuts and my current deficit lol. They do work great at holding onto your eye color as well as creating a good neutral base.
Love your tips and tricks!
Gurl how you make that burger! I would love to see more recipes from you > From what you have posted you seem like a really good cook!
I love this look. My little sis sent me to your blog and I love it! Are you still looking for natural hair bloggers?
