If you own a NARS blush ($26), you would probably agree that they are truly something special. Not every NARS blush is created equal. They have a pretty decent range of shades that vary from sheer to opaque. Some colors are better to be used as highlighters, while others are better as straight up blushes. For the more pigmented ones (like Exhibit A), you want to use the lightest hand you could possibly muster up, because you can easily apply too much and end up lookin a hot ass mess.
As a woman of color, I have to say that Taj Mahal is a brown-girl staple! It’s beautiful and will add that oomph to your deep skin, giving you copious amounts of fierce. It’s literally the “Instant-Brown-Girl-Glow”, if you don’t have it…buy it! The most popular NARS blush is Orgasm, which is really gorgeous on the right skin-tone — it honestly looks best on light to medium skin-tones. I can’t pull it off though, but I do have a dupe…Milani’s blush in ‘Luminous’ is pretty much an exact dupe of Orgasm, in case you want to try a cheaper alternative first. I like to use it as a highlighter. Even Deep Throat hardly shows up on me, but I’ve found alternate uses for it. Albatross is a beautiful highlighter that looks great on any and every skin-tone. It’s sheer and effing gorgeous. Please pick that one up!

Taj Majal is most def one of my favs for brown girts. after seeing sin I’m have to pick that up as well.

Orgasm is really beautiful as a highlighter, especially for darker skin. i’m wearing my Orgasm dupe from Milani today LOL. its really nice.

NARS is my favorite make up brand!! Not only are their blushes awesome so are their eyeshadows, they blend like a dream!

I just got my first NARS blush and its exibit A and I looooove it! The packaging,the feel of it and the super high pigmentation( first time I used it I def put on too much and it looked a messs) And with my order I received a promotion code for 15% off till the end of aug so I am planning to get Albatross,Taj Mahal and Orgasm -and a few eyeshadows- next month

Hey there…I’m NC44 and I have five NARS blushes that I love: Torrid, Deep Throat, Taj Mahal, Albatross, and Lovejoy. I feel that these are all great to have for our complexion.
I love the NARS blushes. I have Deep Throat and Orgasm. Definitely agree with you about Orgasm, it is beautiful but isn’t the best for darker tones. Even on my skin, I have to use a bit of a heavier hand to over come the shimmer aspect and get the color.
Unfortunately, a heavy hand makes it look really bad in pictures. It gives off a ashy look (camera only picks up the shimmer).

yup, orgasm is REALLY gorgeous, but darker skintones have to work harder to get it to show up. instead of being annoyed with it, i bought the dupe from Milani lol.

I know i’ve swatched them all at one point but i cant remember how Oasis looked on me. I’ll have to go back and check that one out.
I have a few Nars blushes: Sin, Deep Throat (staple), Desire and Gilda. I love the swatches u have of Crazed and Mounia. Do you think they’ll work on my NW25 skintone?
Crazed would definitely work! Mounia too, but use a super light hand. its more of a cinnamon’y color, so go lightly with it.
before i read the bottom part i was shocked! no orgasam?! If you can pull of Taj you don’t need orgasam.

I LOVE NARS period. I have Taj Mahal, Exhibit A, and Albrotross. They are super pretty on brown skin women. I am thinking about buying crazed but I have a purple from MAC and I am thinking it is the same, So, I may go with Dolce Vita.

Crazed is a beautiful color, i say if you can find it, grab it. It’s not really purple at all, its a very bright raspberry pink. Dollymix by MAC, for example, is more blue and kinda leans toward the purple family more than Crazed does. I’ll swatch my NARS eyeshadows soon. I don’t have that many lol.
Nobody beats NARS when it comes to blushes in my book. I love them and want more one day.
agreed! MUFE makes fab blushes too, but for the most part I agree. NARS is awesome.
I’m in the market for some new blush and it seems NARS is the only one with a good range of colors and not just variations of pink and brown.
It pains me just a bit to spend close to $40 on blush, but I might have to. Do you know of any other brands that have good oranges blush shades? Or a nice range of cream blush?
Try NYX blushes. they’re pretty great. MAC is also good at blushes. Where are you from? These only cost $26, not $40
I was in Love with NARS as well until I heard about La Femme Blushes…Super Pigmented, long lasting and here’s the even better part…wait for it…it’s 1/5th the price of NARS..only $3.00 each…check out youtube for reviews!!!

I have Taj. A leeettle goes a long long way, but it adds a nice umph to my cheeks.

yea it seriously sucks! Sephora will chop off a NARS blush faster than the actual NARS site, so always check there as a last ditch effort. Why they would discontinue such beautiful and popular shades is BEYOND me!
Girl I checked the NARS site FIRST then checked Sephora! lmao! I’m hurt Resha…. I’m hurt. SMH. I may check beauty.com. I didn’t even know they carry authentic highends like UD & NARS. I know 90% of NARS on Ebay is the real deal but I have seen fake NARS palettes and duos on there.. Rarely though.

i have super O and i love it. the texture is amazing. i want something more of a TRUE peach though. a like taj mahal, but is it that orange on the cheeks?
