Happy Sunday! The weather is absolutely gorgeous today. Not a breath of humidity, the birds are chirping, the sun is shining. It doesn't smell like raw booty outside either. I love this kinda weather! I feel like I'm in LA or something, its just perfect. Oh, and Starz was showing Hook -- one of my all-time favorite movies ever, earlier when I got the wild hair up my butt to do this look. This is one of my favorite looks to do because it's fresh, easy and quick. It opens up the eyes beautifully and the sexy pop of green really takes it from neutral-schmuetral to something very special. You don't have to wear typical bright shades the entire summer, so don't feel like you're obligated to. In fact, bronzey/golden hues are incredibly gorgeous in the summer, especially with a touch of color added. See for yourself ;)

I went to CVS today just to browse and walked out with way too much crap. I'm taking some of it back, actually -- because it sucks. I need to do something about impulse shopping, especially at CVS where almost everything is overpriced by at least a buck or two. Anyway, I finally picked up a mascara I've been meaning to try, but was trying to be responsible and limit my mascara intake so that I didn't end up wasting any tubes. I am a hardcore mascara junkie trying to pass this mascara-rehab situation with flying colors. So the pretty purple tube pulled me in -- the flesh is weak. I liked the original Covergirl LashBlast
, but I didn't looove it. The original promised lots of volume, and this new LashBlast Fusion promises volume and length (a CG first) -- but does it deliver?

I know you're thinking "Damn, another NYX post?!", but I promise you guys I'm not working for NYX. I just happen to have a decent amount of their products and I love just about all of what I own. I was rummaging thru my stash this morning, looking for a red lipstick other than my trusty MAC So Scarlet (LE). I wanted to show another color from another brand some love today, and then I remembered two shades by NYX that I couldn't go wrong with. I swear finding things you haven't used in a while and rediscovering why you love them is such a fabulous feeling. Do you guys realize it's 2010 and there are still women out there who haven't attempted a sexy red lip?? Mainly because they're terrified at the very thought of rocking a bright, bold red lip. Are you one of them?

Getting my own beauty blog up and running was an idea in my head for almost a year. I honestly did not think I'd EVER have the time to pull out items from my collection, swatch them for you, take pics, upload, repeat -- not to mention design and build it all!! But one snowy day, I said "F*ck it, I have to do this", and here we are. In three days this site will be one month old but it's already my baby, and I love that it's available to the entire world. I especially love my readers. You guys are why I do this. Whether you're a lurker or a frequent commenter, I absolutely adore you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to even come by and visit me here, it really means a lot. Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there! Especially to my own mom, who is probably the silliest woman I know...and where I get my everything from. She taught me how to cook, how to live and how to love. A phenomenal 52 year old powerhouse who acts 25 and appreciates the present moment while living each day is if it were her last. I couldn't ask for a better mom. I know she's probably reading this, so I love you mom! Hope you cook soon...I'm hungry! It's 6:54pm on a Saturday night and I'm up writing about setting powders. Why? Because I'm lookin out for those of you who have no clue as to what they even are. See?
