I would describe this color as a bright slightly blue-based red. There are bits of yellow in this too, but not nearly as much blue. This is one of those colors you can wear alone with nothing else on your face but maybe eyeliner and mascara.
This beautiful, creamy, smooth and long-wearing lipstick has crawled its way into my top 5 favorite red lipsticks. I adore the packaging, the signature Chanel logo engraved on the top, also engraved into the lipstick itself — its beautiful. Richly pigmented, this isn’t one of those colors you have to smear on twenty times to build up color. It’s perfectly opaque and feels really good on the lips. It also has that expensive scent lol, I can’t describe it…but it’s nice. It also has a beautiful sheen to it, I don’t think you’d need a gloss at all but you’re absolutely within your rights to use one if you’d like. I like it without a gloss, personally.
It’s pricey, but it’s Chanel. If you’re on a budget it’s by no means anything you’re going to die without, but it’s a beautiful luxury to have if you’re looking for something high-end. The next red shade from the Rouge Coco line I’m dying to get is Paris. I swatched it at Macy’s and almost died LOL! So pretty!
*Remember, any lipstick looks best on freshly exfoliated, supple lips. Remove any dead skin flakes, and moisturize prior to application for the best appearance.

I have a thing for reds so I buy all the pretty ones; I must have about 15 red lipsticks. I don’t have this one from Chanel Rouge Coco line but I do have Paris (u need that one) and Cambon (it’s pinker red, a young lady red, lol). I adore them both.
Chanel rocks my world. Their lip products especially are to die for.

It’s FABULOUS!!! I wore it to my grandfathers funeral on monday, but only because he would’ve wanted me to look my best lol. it really popped against the black I wore.

I didn’t line my lips this time. I don’t usually when I do lip swatches of a specific color. This is straight up Chanel, no filler. its so pretty on its own. I’d only use a liner in the same color family if you needed to.
Your photos are perfect! Gabrielle is a amazing red. I bought Rouge Coco in Paris and in Sari Doré (a beautiful orange, it seems raivishing of MAC).
