Here's a little secret...this was my very first red lipstick that I paid over $10 for. It holds a special place in my heart -- and apparently my mom's makeup bag because for months she wouldn't give it back to me. Terrible, but I can't blame her because she looked amazing with it on. Kat Von D has a really great line of makeup and the prices aren't too shabby either, especially when you take the quality into account.

I did this Naked FOTD a few days ago, and since I'm home sick in bed I figured I'd post it. This is look number 4 of a promised 5-look series using the Urban Decay Naked palette. This look is perfect for work, or a quick everyday solution. I've done three smokey-eye looks with this palette already and promised to show you guys a softer, more wearable way to rock this gorgeous palette.

Here's a lip color that would look amazing on pretty much everyone. It's NYX Black Cherry round lipstick, and it costs around $4. It's a beautiful deep berry shade with hints of blue, but it's not too cool. Warm skin tones can definitely wear this. This lip would look extra seductive on med-to-dark skin tones, and vampy on lighter skin tones (which isn't a bad thing at all).

Heavens to Betsy! I finally got my Chanel fix in the form of a beautiful blue-based red lipstick called Paris from Chanel's Rouge Coco line. This lipstick is everything. Smooth, creamy, hydrating, super long lasting...and gorgeous. I have a serious love for beautiful blue-based red lipsticks, they are my favorite -- and Paris has wiggled her way into my top favorite reds. I picked this tube up at the Chanel counter at my local Macy's...after telling myself I wasn't gonna buy it anytime soon. Chanel lipsticks are expensive, and I just cannot go around spending $30 on a single tube of lipstick all willy-nilly...

Red lips will never go out of style -- they're timeless and classic. They're isn't anyone who can't wear red. It's all about finding the right shade. Red lips instantly make me feel sexy, no matter how bad my day may be going. I feel fierce and fearless and grrr, very grrr ;). Today I decided to showcase a pretty red for you from the Rouge Coco line by Chanel. This lipstick is called Gabrielle ($30) and boy is she special...

I know you're thinking "Damn, another NYX post?!", but I promise you guys I'm not working for NYX. I just happen to have a decent amount of their products and I love just about all of what I own. I was rummaging thru my stash this morning, looking for a red lipstick other than my trusty MAC So Scarlet (LE). I wanted to show another color from another brand some love today, and then I remembered two shades by NYX that I couldn't go wrong with. I swear finding things you haven't used in a while and rediscovering why you love them is such a fabulous feeling. Do you guys realize it's 2010 and there are still women out there who haven't attempted a sexy red lip?? Mainly because they're terrified at the very thought of rocking a bright, bold red lip. Are you one of them?
