I was watching Tanya, one of my favorite Youtube guru's, do a dramatically sexy and smokey purple eyeshadow look using a color that I've owned for a while and never used (shameful), so I decided to do a lighter, more playful spin on it. I haven't created a purple look for my blog yet and that's really sad because purple is actually one of my top three favorite colors to play around with. It really looks great with brown-eyes!

Green is one of my favorite colors, especially when it comes to makeup. Greens and purples are everything! Yesterday I wanted to play around in the gorgeous green by MAC called Sassy Grass that came out with the Dare to Wear collection. If you don't know anything about me, please know that I am all about simple makeup looks. I only tend to do something super avant-garde when I'm either bored or for a special occasion. This look here, is a very simple one consisting of just three eyeshadows.

(updated 8/21/10 w/ new swatches!) When my parents and I pulled up into their driveway today, my mom said "There's a package on the doorstep" and I just knew it was mine. I walked up to it, saw the HAUTELOOK tape wrapped around the small brown box and literally hit a Mariah Carey note of excitement. I knew exactly what it was! I grabbed my dog, tossed my box in the passenger seat and sped home to open my little box of joy in the form of Rock & Republic blushes ($40 each). I didn't order these directly from the Rock & Republic website...instead I got them half price on Hautelook! *poplocks with passion and conviction*
