Hello, gorgeous! Welcome to Accidental Beauty – a blog giving you nothing but the most honest thoughts on various beauty products and tools. You’ll get a glimpse of my personal journey thru the lovely world of cosmetics, skincare, and more. I hope to share my experiences with you, hopefully help you along your own way and learn things from you as well. I’m sure this “about” page will deepen as time moves along, but for now, it is what it is.

So, I started designing this site when I was snowed in a few months ago. We got slammed by an icy act of God! Some people called it “snowpocalypse” and “snowmageddon”. Before the snow arrived, I packed a big suitcase and drove to my parents house. I would much rather be snowed in with them because they have lots of food, a much bigger house, and a 4-wheel drive. So after the first flake fell, I knew I’d be stuck in the house for a while and I started playing around with different looks in Photoshop. I didn’t know what I wanted this baby to look like initially, but I quickly drew inspiration from this drink that my dad made for me…

site inspiration!

See what I did there? I loved the colors of this drink, the gradient, the softness, and the pretty chunks of ice. I kinda remixed it into a softer design and you’re looking at the result. I had to add flowery stuff because I love girly accents :) So yea, that’s how this place was designed.

Accidental Beauty was developed by my good and amazing friend, Kyle. If I had to describe him in one word, it’d be “unstoppable”. There isn’t anything Kyle cannot do. I heart him to pieces, and he really helped me get this from “layout.psd” to “A reality”. Many thanks to you, Kyle! This site wouldn’t exist without you. Love you!

Having said all of that, if I see any of my graphics on your site, I’m gonna be pretty pissed off and will take necessary action.

As far as pictures posted on my blog that belong to me, if you’d like to use any for your own blog, all I ask is that you either ask me first and give me credit OR take them anyway and give me a credit link. And for the love of Lucy, PLEASE DO NOT HOTLINK my stuff. That’s all I ask.
